Let me show you free stock photos websites, icons, patterns which I use the most often. You probably know this pain when you have found a nice photo for a website and it turns out that you have to pay for it. Not everyone can afford to pay such a sum. So where to get good quality photos, icons and patterns on a free license? I present to you a list of websites that I use most often.
The following websites provide images under the Creative Commons CC0 license, so you can download and edit photos without having to provide their author.
StockSnap is, in my opinion, the best database of free photos, which is regularly expanded every few days. The website offers a nice search engine and the photos are in high resolution.
Unsplash is also a rich collection of free photos. The portal provides ten new photos every ten days – of course all in high quality.
Picjumbo offers photos for free for personal and commercial use. The database is quite extensive and the service itself can now boast over two million downloads. In picjumbo there is also the possibility of buying the remaining photos from the photo session if we are interested in them.
Kaboompics is a fairly large database of photos from various targets. Everything is properly tagged so that the search in this portal is pure pleasure.
Iconfinder
At the end time for icons. Inonfinder offers paid and free icons. With these freeware we can choose those that require authorship and those that are available without any restrictions. To quickly find a cool icon, enter the keyword in the search engine and then filter the result into icons for free. After selecting the icon, the service also tosses us icons from the same album, and sometimes we can assemble a set of icons for the whole page completely for free.
Subtle Patterns
Subtle Patterns is a websitde for nice and creative pattterns which we can use as a background on our website. Database isn’t huge but you can always find something nice and creative.
